OFFICE TEAM LEADER & ONLINE AUCTIONS CO-ORDINATOR

We are currently recruiting for an experienced, responsible and well organised general office supervisor. Versed in all commercial disciplines. Applicants must have extensive online administration experience, comfortable and competent with PCs and proficient in the use of general and bespoke software for a small, busy office. Good timekeeping is essential, ability to lead a small office team.

General Office Duties will include;

  1. Monitoring deadlines ensuring paperwork is sent to Clients on time, chasing accounts for payment, ensuring daily typing deadlines are met, responding to a large email enquiries inbox, meeting customer service deadlines.

Online Auctions Duties will include

  1. Uploading text and images online to auction service sites / portals, keeping information up to date between different systems etc.
  2. Renaming digital images
  3. Following instructions to re-code information, making it compatible for upload/download to in-house software
  4. Software includes (training will be provided):- PACTS (bespoke in-house auction software used for managing vendors and purchasers alike), GAP Toolbox (online auction portal), ATG Media Image Utilities (used for re-coding and re-sizing images), Command Prompt (used for coding – downloading bidders on saleday)

WORKING HOURS – 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday and one Saturday per month. Occasional additional hours may be required during periods of heavy workload.

Salary: £20,000 per annum

JEWELLERY, WATCHES & SILVER DEPARTMENT ASSISTANT

We currently require assistance in our busy Silver, Jewellery & Watches department. The ideal person will have had extensive experience, valuing within a quality retail jewellery environment.

Full-time position (although part-time or flexible hours considered), training will be given.

Immediate start available. References required.

COIN CATALOGUER & VALUER

We currently require additional cataloguing and valuation cover on an part-time basis for our expanding Stamps, Coins, Postcards & Banknotes Auctions;

Flexible hours and days per month can be accommodated for the right candidate, to work around other commitments.

Applicants must have had extensive experience in this specialist field in cataloguing and valuing for open market sale.

Immediate start. References required.

SPECIALIST TOY VALUER

Due to continued expansion of our toy department we currently require an additional Valuation & Cataloguing Assistant on a part-time basis (approximately 2 to 3 days per week to start) to support our Head of Department.

Essential requirements:

  1. An in depth working knowledge of one or more of the following catagories:
    • Diecast Toys - Old and New
    • Model Railway - All Gauges
    • Tinplate toys
    • Modern Collectables including Action Figures/Retro Gaming/Star Wars
    • Dolls and Teddy Bears
    • Childhood Memorabilia and Collectables
  2. Experience of working to tight deadlines
  3. Ability to communicate at all levels
  4. Ability to work to own initiative as well as part of a team

Desirable requirements:

  1. Experience in research and preparing catalogue descriptions for open market sale
  2. Access to and an insight into the current market for the above categories
  3. Full clean driving license
  4. Computer literate

Full detailed training given to right candidate in a dynamic and busy Auction environment
