A Reversed Copper Printing Plate for The Sheffield Star Dated January 5th 1981, the heading reads "Ripper: Man Arrested in Sheffield", a heading that drew to an end the five year hunt for Peter Sutcliffe 'The Yorkshire Ripper', together with a contemporary typed summary of the arrest and trial of Peter Sutcliffe.
Provenance: It is understood that The Star produced six of these plates to give to various people involved in the case. This example is from the South Yorkshire Police Press Liaison Officer at the time.
