Established in Sheffield, England since 1840 as ELR Auctions we are the region's oldest Auctioneers and Valuers. In 2010 we renamed and became Sheffield Auction Gallery and with our team of Specialist Valuers we offer free detailed advice on all aspects of pre-Auction Valuation and Auction Sale.
In 2014 we acquired and incorporated A. E. Dowse & Son Limited, who were another very well established Sheffield Auctioneers. We have continued to thrive and to go from strength to strength ever since.
We hold fortnightly Antiques & Collectables auctions, quarterly Antique & Fine Art, Silver, Jewellery and Watches Auctions. We also have a specialist auction every fortnight.
Alongside our regular auction schedule we hold dedicated Auctions for Live Steam, Football Programmes & Sporting Memorabilia, Specialist Collectable Toys & Comics, Medals & Militaria plus Coins, Stamps and Postcards. Recent sections introduced include Vintage & Designer Fashions and Vintage Wines and Spirits.
Bringing items in for valuation couldn't be easier, we have a large purpose-built two storey Auction Gallery with large car park, disabled access and our team of specialist valuers are available Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays from 10am to 4pm for all items for free pre-auction advice.
We hold many regular Valuation Days at the Gallery and at Specialist Events throughout Yorkshire, Derbyshire (including Chesterfield Market Place) and Nottinghamshire together with appearing at many County Shows with our exhibition trailer.
