A Handsome Matched Victorian Hallmarked Silver Four Piece Tea Set, R&S, Sheffield 1850, Samuel Roberts & Charles Belk, Sheffield 1867, each of decorative shaped baluster form, allover engraved decoration with scroll handles, the jug and sugar bowl gilt lined, all on shaped spreading base, each with engraved presentation detail, the teapot engraved "Testimonial of The Greenock Working Classes and Their Friends to Willm Allison Esqr for his able and untiring exertions as a Councillor for Local and Parliamentary Reform February 1853", the jug and sugar bowl both engraved "Testimonial of The Greenock Working Classes & Their Friends to Wm Allison Esqr 1853", the coffee pot engraved "To William Allison Esq from Mrs David Sinclair in acknowledgement of his Valuable Services as Trustee during a period of Thirteen Years Greenock January 1868" (overall weight 2585grams).
